SBI Clerk 2018 Notification

The SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2018 Notification has been finally released by State Bank of India. Candidates can check the official notification by clicking on the link mentioned below. The online registration for SBI Clerk 2018 exam has started from 20th January 2018. The Online Application window closes on 10th February 2018.
Total number of vacancies updated in the official notification for SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2018 is 8301.

Changes for SBI Junior Associates 2018:

As per the official notification released by SBI "No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects are prescribed". Thus, there will not be any sectional cut off for this year's SBI Junior Associates Recruitment's Online Examination. However, the criteria solely lies within the hands of the organisation.

SBI Clerk Exam Centre

The SBI Clerk exam is held online at various centers all over India and the candidates can mention their options at the time of filling in the online application. Though there is non-availability of seats at preferred venues yet SBI allows an exam center other than the choices made by a candidate. 
SBI is the only authority to add or remove an exam center. The candidates can’t make any request for the change of the exam center. Any indecent behavior at the examination center can lead to cancellation of the application.
Selection Procedure 
The selection process of SBI Clerk consists of 2 phases (preliminary and mains).  The candidates must qualify each of them to go on to the next phase. 
The important steps of the SBI Clerk Recruitment Procedure are as follows:
•Online Preliminary Examination:
Sufficient number of candidates in each category is shortlisted by SBI depending upon the requirements for Online Main Examination
Online Mains Examination:
Candidates need to qualify each section as well as the overall cut-off in the main exam to be eligible for the Final Selection.
•Final Result:
The Final result is declared on the basis of merit list in SBI Clerk Mains Exam.
•Provisional Allotment:
The provisional allotment of the eligible candidate is released on the official website. The SBI allots Banks to the candidates on the basis of the preferences they have made at the time of the online registration.
SBI plays its role in the selection process till the provisional selection to different banks. Further, the responsibility to inform the qualified candidates about their joining dates and procedure lies with the respective banks.

SBI CLERK 2018 Eligibility Criteria (Junior Associates)

The eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk 2018 exam is
A candidate should be between 20-28 years to be eligible for SBI Clerk 2018 exam
He/she must have be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
He or she should be a citizen of India, A subject of Nepal, A subject of Bhutan, A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently in India or a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam and have the intention of settling permanently in India.

Educational Qualification for SBI CLERK 2018

Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the SBI exam is graduation degree in any of the streams such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech, etc., from a University recognized by the Government of India. Candidate who possesses same qualification from the university recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam.
Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree: 
Certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. 
The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at time of registration for the SBI Bank-Clerk examination.
 
Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as SBI Clerk exam is conducted online.
Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants:
Candidates applying for SBI Clerk Examination should be one of the following:

1. Citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour.
 

Age Eligibility of candidates applying for SBI Clerk Examination:

Candidates applying for the SBI examination should be of 20 years old but not more than 28 years old at the time of registration. Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category wise candidates as per the government rules:
